The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléber Costa during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Giggantes FC's Cléber Costa got a free kick in the 7th minute. Edgar de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Danilo Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Carlos Loyola succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Emílio Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yuri Tepedino in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yan Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Linares having to interfere. If Edgar de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgar de Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Danilo Figueiredo made a huge save. After 29th play minutes Edgar de Sena shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Danilo Figueiredo and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Giggantes FC's zone, Yuri Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Figueiredo came out of the goal and Yuri Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar de Sena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Loyola in the 51st minute of play forced Giggantes FC's goalkeeper Danilo Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes Giggantes FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Baiano. Danilo Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Damião in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Giggantes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Tepedino came free, but Danilo Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaraguáriuno walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
