That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. 19 minutes into the match, Palmorindo's goalkeeper Evandro Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe de Lara. Evandro Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Evandro Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Paes in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Giuseppe de Lara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evandro Correia, 3-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elano de Almeida to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Paulão Paes sped through Palmorindo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evandro Correia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe de Lara in the 87th minute of play forced Palmorindo's goalkeeper Evandro Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Ernani Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Eduardo Tasso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
