Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hudson Valle kicked off to start the match. In the 4th match minute, Japira SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Virgílio Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorino's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hudson Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hudson Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tostão Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Alexandre Vargas sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute Hudson Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 34 in the game by Marco Paraibano from a close distance when the talented Tostão Figueiredo managed to make a qualified save. Japira SS's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Gorino's zone, Amadeu Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Moura came out of the goal and Amadeu Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th match minute, Japira SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Pena to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes, Luiz Fábio Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Japira SS and the Gorino players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Virgílio Soeiro made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Pena in the 51st minute of play forced Gorino's goalkeeper Bruninho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruninho Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hudson Valle in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes Gorino got a freekick which was hit by Jano Linhares. Aílton de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Hudson Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Donato Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Vargas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Tostão Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorino. In the 74th minute Jano Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hudson Valle took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruninho Moura. Bruninho Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Luiz Fábio Aparecido got his second yellow card in the match during the 79th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Luiz Fábio Aparecido hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Tostão Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Tostão Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Soeiro in the 90th minute of play. Tostão Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
