Silas Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Evaristo Almeida notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atlético Porto's Giuseppe Silveira. Giuseppe Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Moraes struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Giuseppe Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brillouin F.C.. 21 minutes into the match, Atlético Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Almeida came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Porto's Giuseppe Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Almeida in the 26th minute of play. Giuseppe Silveira came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Brillouin F.C.'s Fabrício Melo. But to his dismay, Fabrício Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Porto's goalkeeper Giuseppe Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Atlético Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Dedé Nunes came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Porto's zone, Evaristo Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Silveira came out of the goal and Evaristo Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anísio Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Fabrício Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brillouin F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrício Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuseppe Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brillouin F.C.'s Evaristo Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Célio de Queirós made a kick off. When Silas Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Porto's protests and gave Silas Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. Silas Oliveira hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Anísio Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brillouin F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Anísio Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brillouin F.C.'s Anísio Rezende got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Atlético Porto defense, Evaristo Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giuseppe Silveira. The Atlético Porto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe Silveira should have stopped the shot. After 66 minutes of play, Brillouin F.C.'s Anísio Rezende made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giuseppe Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrício Melo in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giuseppe Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Atlético Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Moraes came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Almeida in the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Fabrício Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When José Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brillouin F.C.'s protests and gave José Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Atlético Porto booed when Brillouin F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brillouin F.C. played a much better game than Atlético Porto and deserved their victory. The Atlético Porto players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
