Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gorino's Virgílio Soeiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Félix in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruninho Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mateus Nóbrega scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruninho Moura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sílvio Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Sílvio Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gorino's Donato Passos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lauro da Silveira but with some difficulty. Giuseppe Baiano hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Lauro da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Soeiro in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of União São José FC booed when Gorino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mateus Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Félix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Moura having to make a save. Bruninho Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateus Nóbrega went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute, União São José FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marco Paraibano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mateus Nóbrega took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruninho Moura. Bruninho Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half União São José FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gernando Félix to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes União São José FC got a freekick which was hit by Marco de Salles. After 56 played minutes União São José FC got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Prata. Gernando Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruninho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Nóbrega in the 65th minute of play. When União São José FC's Mateus Nóbrega in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gorino's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Gernando Félix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruninho Moura. Gorino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gernando Félix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The supporters of Gorino booed when União São José FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gorino getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jano Linhares hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gorino's Jano Linhares got a free kick in the 75th minute. Gernando Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gorino's Bruninho Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Gorino from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the game, Alexandre Vargas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gorino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União São José FC the free kick. Alexandre Vargas hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Bruninho Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernando Félix in the 87th minute. Mateus Nóbrega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Moura having to make a save. Gernando Félix succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 94th playminute. Glauco Botelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Moura having to make a save. União São José FC played a much better game than Gorino and deserved their victory. The Gorino players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
