After a defensive mix-up in Palmorindo's zone, Manuel Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evandro Correia came out of the goal and Manuel Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joélson Marinho hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Palmorindo's Walmyr Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reinaldo Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Walmyr Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elano de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Reinaldo Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmorindo. Elano de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Reinaldo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evandro Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Régis Dias's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Evandro Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Dias in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Régis Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Evandro Correia managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when CA Uruguaiense's Régis Dias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Evandro Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Régis Dias's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Palmorindo's Leonel Fantini got a free kick in the 66th minute. Walmyr Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reinaldo Fernandez having to make a save. Reinaldo Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Abreu in the 74th minute of the match. Régis Dias struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Evandro Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Uruguaiense. In the 78th minute, Elano de Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmorindo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Palmorindo getting a freekick after 89 minutes play.
