In the 36th minute Jano Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, José Vítor de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Soeiro in the 41st minute of the match. Célio de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho Moura having to interfere. Atlético Porto's Giuseppe Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Porto from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgílio Soeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Faustão de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Porto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gorino the free kick. The supporters of Gorino booed when Atlético Porto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Gorino's Virgílio Soeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giuseppe Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 57th minute, Marco Paraibano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giuseppe Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Soeiro in the 62nd minute of play forced Atlético Porto's goalkeeper Giuseppe Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Virgílio Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlético Porto's Faustão de Almeida got a free kick in the 71st minute. Marco Paraibano took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giuseppe Silveira. Giuseppe Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Célio de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bruninho Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Berger in the 80th minute of the match. Alexandre Vargas scored 9-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giuseppe Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Soeiro in the 89th minute of the match. Giuseppe Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute of the match Donato Passos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giuseppe Silveira skillfully saved the ball. Giuseppe Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Soeiro in the 94th minute of play. Gorino's Bruninho Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Gorino from getting a goal against them. Gorino walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
