After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Belmiro Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tauatu's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Belmiro Rodrigues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cléber Trevisan. The goal made the score 1-0. Tauatu's Pedro Paulo Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Vergílio in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Davi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Geovânio de Souza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 19 played minutes Davi got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Seco. Joel Teixeira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Belmiro Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cléber Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléber Trevisan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Tauatu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Cearense to maneuver through the defense. After 38 minutes, Emílio Vergílio made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tauatu's Pedro Paulo Pontes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Davi defense, Belmiro Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléber Trevisan. The Davi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléber Trevisan should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Emílio Vergílio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Paulo Pontes having to make a save. The supporters of Davi booed when Tauatu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Passos couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Davi's Cristian Passos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Paulo Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Paulo Pontes was a little too slow when Jonathan Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
