Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fabiano Bittencourt made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, FC Shox's Luiz Fábio Valadares got control of the ball when Cristian Passos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Davi's Cléber Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Bittencourt in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Jonathan Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Carvalho's late challenge caught a FC Shox's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Shox booed when Davi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fábio Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Cícero Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cícero Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Davi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Shox:s goal. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for FC Shox. Hélio Teixeira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cléber Trevisan. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Emílio Vergílio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Fábio Valadares. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. In the 30th minute, Dalmo Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fábio Valadares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Marcelo Souza hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Emílio Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Vergílio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fábio Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Davi got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Carvalho. In the 56th minute, Joaquim Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Shox's zone, Emílio Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fábio Valadares came out of the goal and Emílio Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edgard Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Carvalho hit a great ball. Hílton Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Shox's Joaquim Catarinense got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Joaquim Catarinense off the ground. After 79 played minutes Davi got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Vergílio. Cristian Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Luiz Fábio Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davi's Cristian Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Hílton Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Shox were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
