Franklin de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Carlos Eduardo Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Eduardo Vargas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Conrado Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Eduardo Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 36th match minute, Croqui Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Joel Godoi got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Davi da Silva. If Conrado Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kléberson Pombal made a kick off. Carlos Eduardo Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Alcântara in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Croqui Futebol Clube's Eugênio de Moraes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Conrado Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Eduardo Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Joel Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Croqui Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Europa the free kick. Joel Godoi hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Conrado Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Conrado Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Conrado Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Europa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Conrado Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
