Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emílio Vergílio started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Augusto Maciel in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Trevisan saved Davi from getting behind. The supporters of Davi booed when Exu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Carlos Augusto Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcos Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Davi's zone, Carlos Augusto Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléber Trevisan came out of the goal and Carlos Augusto Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emílio Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cabral having to interfere. Marcos Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Passos in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Carlos Augusto Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chiquinho Maia's late challenge caught a Davi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmo Seco during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Davi's zone, Jeremias Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Emílio Vergílio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Davi getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Dalmo Seco hit a great ball. With a little luck, Exu's Marcos Cabral got control of the ball when Cristian Passos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Alexandre Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Claudinei Santana from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Marcos Cabral's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marcos Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Vergílio in the 64th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Cristian Passos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcos Cabral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Carlos Augusto Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Exu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Augusto Maciel couldn't finish the play. Carlos Augusto Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Trevisan having to interfere. Cristian Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cléber Trevisan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Augusto Maciel's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Cléber Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Davi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
