To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dé Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Cearense in the 12th minute of play forced Raiders FC's goalkeeper Dé Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tauatu's Fabrício Seco got a free kick in the 14th minute. Pedro Paulo Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilo Cayo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Paulo Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teofilo Cayo ran back to his position shaking his head. Teofilo Cayo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Paulo Pontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Dé Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Cearense in the 51st minute. Tauatu's Pedro Paulo Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Cayo in the 52nd minute of play. Mateus Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Teofilo Cayo made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Paulo Pontes. Tauatu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 62nd minute Mateus Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Paulo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Cayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Pedro Paulo Pontes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Raiders FC's Teofilo Cayo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Raiders FC's Dé Arce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Raiders FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Raiders FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tauatu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
