The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Sirinhaem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ibirataia:s goal. Sirinhaem:s Kleanthis Variamidis showed great skill when he stopped Amílton Braga:s penalty. 60 minutes into the match, Amílton Braga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sirinhaem's Kleanthis Variamidis. Kleanthis Variamidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute, Cesinha Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elano Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nilson de Azevedo having to make a save. 67 minutes into the game, Leandro Salgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibirataia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sirinhaem the free kick. Kleanthis Variamidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Sirinhaem's Renatinho Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kleanthis Variamidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Salgado in the 88th minute of the match. Cesinha Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson de Azevedo having to interfere. A collision led to Sirinhaem getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Amadeu Vargas hit a great ball. Cesinha Gonçalves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nilson de Azevedo having to make a save. Chants of Ibirataia echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sirinhaem had held the ball for most of the match.
