Conrado Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Genílson Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Europa's Bart Hurel got control of the ball when Tiago Gabriel Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romo Ponce struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Genílson Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Europa. In the 22nd minute of the match, Maicon Breckenfeld tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bart Hurel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Conrado Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Bart Hurel made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Maicon Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. If Conrado Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Europa's zone, Maicon Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bart Hurel came out of the goal and Maicon Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Maicon Breckenfeld made a precise shot to the right of Bart Hurel. Europa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Europa's Conrado Alcântara got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute of the game Dida Loureiro made a throw-in which Tiago Gabriel Castro played forward. Europa's Bart Hurel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Europa from getting a goal against them. After 47 minutes, Simão Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Europa and the Avelinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Simão Luz hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Acácio de Castro hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. In the 51stth minute of the game Maicon Breckenfeld who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Europa's Bart Hurel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrado Alcântara to make the kick off. Luisão Linhares hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Bart Hurel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Breckenfeld in the 58th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Romo Ponce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Europa and the Avelinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Romo Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Europa's goal looked a bit too open when Maicon Breckenfeld came free, but Bart Hurel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tião de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bart Hurel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Europa's Chiquinho do Vale got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Robinho Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avelinos's supporters rose to their feet, but Robinho Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bart Hurel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bart Hurel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Breckenfeld in the 87th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Avelinos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Europa:s goal. Genílson Pontes had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Franklin de Mendonça's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Maicon Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Bart Hurel came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Avelinos's Tião de Andrade. But to his dismay, Tião de Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Avelinos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
