Cauan Fonseca hit a great ball. With a little luck, Januaria's William Peixoto got control of the ball when Tomás Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dé de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Januaria's goalkeeper William Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maicon Arósio. 28 minutes into the match, Januaria's Roberto Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilson Vander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Januaria's William Peixoto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Januaria from getting a goal against them. When Dé de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Januaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dé de Almeida couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Real Madruga F.C's zone, Dé de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson Vander came out of the goal and Dé de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Nóbrega might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Nóbrega ran back to his position shaking his head. Roberto Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Tomás Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Real Madruga F.C fans jumped to their feet. William Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomás Nóbrega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Olavo Pena might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilson Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olavo Pena ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 played minutes Januaria got a freekick which was hit by Dé de Almeida. In the 72nd minute Tomás Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Nóbrega in the 80th minute of play forced Januaria's goalkeeper William Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Januaria's zone, Tomás Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Peixoto came out of the goal and Tomás Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Nóbrega in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg William Peixoto saved Januaria from getting behind. Olavo Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Vander having to interfere. Real Madruga F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
