Dalmo de Barros had several of the Nação Rubro-negra F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 13 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Germano Donatello as he didn't even see the shot coming. Germano Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenílson da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Lenílson da Silva took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Germano Donatello to make any attempt to save it. 29 minutes into the match, Nação Rubro-negra F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lenílson da Silva came free, but Germano Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Lenílson da Silva put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Germano Donatello. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodriguinho Marques made a kick off. Fellipe Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Olívio de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dalmo de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nação Rubro-negra F.C's Germano Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo de Barros in the 58th minute of play. Germano Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson da Silva in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Nação Rubro-negra F.C's Yuri Galvão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olívio de Sousa. Olívio de Sousa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Marques in the 67th minute of play forced Lama's goalkeeper Olívio de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lama's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germano Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenílson da Silva in the 87th minute of the match. Germano Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo de Barros in the 90th minute of play. Nação Rubro-negra F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
