Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 3 minutes, Dalmo de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo de Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lenílson da Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juninho Tróia having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ibuaco's zone, Dalmo de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Tróia came out of the goal and Dalmo de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lenílson da Silva came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Lama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lenílson da Silva couldn't finish the play. Carlos Fernando Motta scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olívio de Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Ibuaco's zone, Lenílson da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Tróia came out of the goal and Lenílson da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marcelo Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibuaco's protests and gave Marcelo Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Marcelo Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenílson da Silva in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Tróia saved Ibuaco from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmo de Barros got free with Juninho Tróia in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lenílson da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio de Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raphael Negri went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Carlos Fernando Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Olívio de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ibuaco were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Carlos Fernando Motta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio de Sousa was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 53 minutes into the match, Lama's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Motta came free, but Olívio de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Barreto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juninho Tróia. Ibuaco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raphael Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Olívio de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ibuaco's Carlos Fernando Motta got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo de Barros in the 83rd minute of play forced Ibuaco's goalkeeper Juninho Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ibuaco booed when Lama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Ibuaco's Júlio de Alcântara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olívio de Sousa. Olívio de Sousa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The Lama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ibuaco's performance. The match ended with a win for Ibuaco.
