Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Baltazar Rosado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, Clube Atlético Maverick's Víktor Sá got control of the ball when Dalmo de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Lama's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Rosado came free, but Olívio de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Dalmo de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lama's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Víktor Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Víktor Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lenílson da Silva's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Olívio de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lama's Lenílson da Silva got a free kick in the 20th minute. Leandro Carneiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Dalmo de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Víktor Sá made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Lama's Dalmo de Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Víktor Sá. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Víktor Sá was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Lenílson da Silva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lenílson da Silva really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 37th minute, Dalmo de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lenílson da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Baltazar Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nestor Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lama's Olívio de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Rosado in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lama's goalkeeper Olívio de Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nestor Sergipano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olívio de Sousa having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lenílson da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Baltazar Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Maverick's Nestor Sergipano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olívio de Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Víktor Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenílson da Silva in the 64th minute of play. If Lenílson da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Dalmo de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Maverick the free kick. In the 67th minute, Dalmo de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lenílson da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cássio de Mendonça hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Víktor Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalmo de Barros went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Dalmo de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Víktor Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Víktor Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalmo de Barros went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Maverick's zone, Dalmo de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Víktor Sá came out of the goal and Dalmo de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lama fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clube Atlético Maverick had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
