Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Baltazar Rosado took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Lobo Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ganja FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lobo Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Fabiano do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Ganja FC's Kiko da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Víktor Sá made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 13 played minutes Ganja FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Leite. In the 14th minute Nestor Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ganja FC's zone, Baltazar Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Freitas came out of the goal and Baltazar Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baltazar Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Donato Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Donato Freitas managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Clube Atlético Maverick's Nestor Sergipano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Prudencio Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Ganja FC's Lobo Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lobo Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Sá having to interfere. Donato Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Víktor Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lobo Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. Clube Atlético Maverick's Nestor Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Baltazar Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Víktor Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lobo Murillo in the 37th minute of the match. Baltazar Rosado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Donato Freitas made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Maverick's Nestor Sergipano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Freitas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donato Freitas made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Nestor Sergipano sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Ganja FC's Donato Freitas got control of the ball when Baltazar Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lobo Murillo made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Hermínio Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ganja FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Maverick the free kick. After 54 played minutes Ganja FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Leite. Lobo Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Víktor Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lobo Murillo's late challenge caught a Clube Atlético Maverick's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lobo Murillo helped the player get up and apologised. Clube Atlético Maverick's Eurico Rossi was substituted for Luiz Fabiano do Vale. After a rather tough play, Ganja FC's Lobo Murillo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Baltazar Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Baltazar Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético Maverick's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltazar Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Nestor Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Rosado in the 82nd minute of play forced Ganja FC's goalkeeper Donato Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lobo Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Sá having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Maverick's Gilson Domingues got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ganja FC's Prudencio Txomin got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Ganja FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ganja FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
