Soltas AD's Claudinei de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Motta in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Ibuaco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dadá Luz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Carlos Fernando Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Fernando Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Fernando Motta in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei de Souza saved Soltas AD from getting behind. Ademar Rossi's late challenge caught a Soltas AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademar Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Ibuaco got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Rossi. Dadá Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Tróia having to interfere. Jorginho Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Juninho Tróia made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Carlos Fernando Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Soltas AD's Claudinei de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Motta in the 30th minute of play. After some careless play in the Soltas AD defense, Raphael Negri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinei de Souza. The Soltas AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinei de Souza should have stopped the shot. Jorginho Senna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Raphael Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Fernando Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei de Souza having to interfere. Claudinei de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Motta in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Ibuaco's Carlos Fernando Motta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei de Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cauã de Salles's late challenge caught a Ibuaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauã de Salles helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Soltas AD getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cauã de Salles hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Carlos Fernando Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibuaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei de Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Ibuaco were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Fernando Motta was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 54 in the game by Raphael Negri from a close distance when the talented Claudinei de Souza managed to make a qualified save. Soltas AD's players were relieved. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soltas AD's goalkeeper Claudinei de Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raphael Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 minutes of play Soltas AD's Cauã de Salles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Cauã de Salles hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Claudinei de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorginho Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Juninho Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Rossi in the 82nd minute of play forced Soltas AD's goalkeeper Claudinei de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibuaco's Carlos Fernando Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Soltas AD's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Motta came free, but Claudinei de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Carlos Fernando Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 played minutes Soltas AD got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Luz. Carlos Fernando Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chico Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Ibuaco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
