If Raphael Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juninho Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iuri de Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Eduardo Tasso to strike the kick off in the second half. When Falcão de Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibuaco's protests and gave Falcão de Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Falcão de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juninho Tróia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jerônimo Simões. Ademar Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes of play, Ibuaco's Raphael Negri made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doni Pimenta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 69 minutes, Iuri de Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brasas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iuri de Godoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 played minutes, Brasas's Kléberson Carioca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juninho Tróia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brasas reached it. Juninho Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iuri de Godoy's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute Marcelo Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Raphael Negri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doni Pimenta was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Iuri de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Brasas's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Motta came free, but Doni Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ibuaco had won after a very even match.
