In the 9th minute, Joel Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafim de Carvalho took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Luiz Godoi. Sílvio Luiz Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Sílvio Luiz Godoi was a little too slow when Serafim de Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 2-0. Serafim de Carvalho scored 3-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luiz Godoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 minutes of play, Atlanta United F.C.'s Fábio Castro made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Luiz Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sílvio Luiz Godoi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Leite showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 36 minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Joel Leite dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sílvio Luiz Godoi, 6-0. With a little luck, Real Mônaco F. C.'s Sílvio Luiz Godoi got control of the ball when Fábio Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
