Dobrada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Dobrada's goalkeeper Dedê Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diogo Maia. In the 30th minute Paulo José Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dedê Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Dobrada's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Palmeira came free, but Dedê Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui de Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Unisul SC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play.
