With his leg Dedê Machado managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Butantã MZFC's Juninho Aparecido fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Butantã MZFC's Haroldo de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haroldo de Queirós struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Dedê Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Butantã MZFC. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Quadros couldn't finish the play. After 31 minutes, Arthur Xavier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Butantã MZFC and the Dobrada players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Butantã MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Xavier. When Rodolfo Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Dobrada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Quadros couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the game, Gildo Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Butantã MZFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dobrada the free kick. After 38 played minutes Butantã MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Baptista. 46 minutes into the match, Butantã MZFC's Juninho Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dedê Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Dedê Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Dobrada's Charles Cosme got a free kick in the 58th minute. Dedê Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo de Queirós in the 61st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Haroldo de Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Butantã MZFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Butantã MZFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gildo Baptista hit a great ball. Juarês Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Juninho Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Xavier got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 84th match minute, Butantã MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Xavier to maneuver through the defense. If Juninho Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juninho Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Machado having to interfere. In the 96th minute Juninho Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dobrada players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Butantã MZFC.
