Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) After a rather tough play, Dobrada's Eurico do Vale got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel de Queirós in the 6th minute of play forced Dobrada's goalkeeper Dedê Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomaž Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the game, Agostinho Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dobrada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Confiança FC the free kick. In the 10th minute, one of Dobrada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dobrada. Wesley Novaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Washington Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wesley Novaes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute, Jardel de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedê Machado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Tomaž Silva struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Dedê Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Confiança FC. In the 35th minute, Rodolfo Quadros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Washington Amaral. The goal made the score 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Washington Amaral successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 40th minute Rodolfo Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dobrada's José Maria Rosado got a free kick in the 46th minute. Tomaž Silva, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolfo Quadros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dedê Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Quadros in the 59th minute of play forced Confiança FC's goalkeeper Washington Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Dobrada's Rodolfo Quadros made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Washington Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Passos during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Dobrada's Dedê Machado got control of the ball when Jardel de Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Confiança FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tomaž Silva hit a great ball. If Rodolfo Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Amaral having to interfere. Washington Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Dobrada players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
