With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Almir de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 played minutes Unisul SC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Mendonça. Rude's Almir de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Rude from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Rude's Almir de Senna got control of the ball when Diogo Maia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Rude's goalkeeper Almir de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Seco. 23 minutes into the match, Unisul SC's Abel Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Almir de Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Abel Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Unisul SC booed when Rude was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Unisul SC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Baltazar Oliveira hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Mendonça threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rude's Miguel Custódio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Rude fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Rude's Aílton Mandrak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Aílton Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui de Lima was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After 39 minutes, Jonathan Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rude and the Unisul SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimir Palmeira made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Unisul SC's zone, Nilmar Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui de Lima came out of the goal and Nilmar Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 53 played minutes Unisul SC got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Oliveira. Baltazar Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Rude's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Palmeira came free, but Almir de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Cerezo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Aílton Mandrak struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Rui de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rude. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Oliveira in the 65th minute of play forced Rude's goalkeeper Almir de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 67th minute of the match Baltazar Oliveira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Baltazar Oliveira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Unisul SC's Baltazar Oliveira got a free kick in the 68th minute. Miguel Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui de Lima having to interfere. Almir de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Seco in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Abel Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 played minutes Rude got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Chaves. Jonathan Cerezo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Rui de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Mandrak in the 83rd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rude had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
