Mané França was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernani Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Joel Leite struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Benjamim Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlanta United F.C.. In the 15th minute, Luís Fernando Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Joel Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlanta United F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamim Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Ernani Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mané França. Atlanta United F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernani Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Mané França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Ibrahy AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Castro came free, but Benjamim Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Ernani Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ibrahy AD's Benjamim Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Leite in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Fábio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Benjamim Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Ibrahy AD's protests and gave Rodrigo Passos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, Ibrahy AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Passos to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Ibrahy AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joel Leite fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mané França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Pinheiro in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Ibrahy AD's Ernani Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mané França narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
