Mané França made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Miguel Custódio sent off a good shot on target. Atlanta United F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Zé Roberto Domingues scored to the left of an out of position Mané França, making the score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Domingues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mané França. Zé Roberto Domingues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 15 minutes into the match, Aílton Mandrak notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Atlanta United F.C.'s Mané França. Mané França was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Domingues in the 18th minute of play forced Atlanta United F.C.'s goalkeeper Mané França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aílton Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlanta United F.C.'s Mané França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Mandrak in the 22nd minute of play. When Armando da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlanta United F.C.'s protests and gave Armando da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlanta United F.C. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Armando da Fonseca hit a great ball. Aílton Mandrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel da Fonseca hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Atlanta United F.C.'s Mané França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Barral in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Atlanta United F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Daniel da Fonseca hit a great ball. Daniel da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Zé Roberto Domingues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mané França. The goal made the score 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aílton Mandrak was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Atlanta United F.C. defense, Aílton Mandrak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mané França. The Atlanta United F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mané França should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Barral in the 56th minute of play forced Atlanta United F.C.'s goalkeeper Mané França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Atlanta United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Domingues came free, but Mané França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rude booed when Atlanta United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute Miguel Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luís Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mané França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Atlanta United F.C.'s Mané França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Custódio in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Aílton Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Rude's Aílton Mandrak made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mané França was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mané França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Domingues in the 86th minute of play. Edu Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almir de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando da Fonseca in the 91st minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Rude players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
