Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vladimir Palmeira started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Unisul SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Seco to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Rui de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almir de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Domingues in the 13th minute of play forced Unisul SC's goalkeeper Rui de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aílton Mandrak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui de Lima having to make a save. After 20 played minutes Unisul SC got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Fernandez. Rude's Almir de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Palmeira in the 23rd minute of play. Zé Roberto Domingues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rui de Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Roberto Domingues slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. In the 35th minute Vladimir Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rude's Almir de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Palmeira in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Rude booed when Unisul SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute of the match Jardel Chaves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui de Lima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Vladimir Palmeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Almir de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 46 minutes, Teodoro Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rude and the Unisul SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rude getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Teodoro Passos hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rui de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Custódio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute Miguel Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui de Lima didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rude's Aílton Mandrak shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Rui de Lima came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Rude's Aílton Mandrak. But to his dismay, Aílton Mandrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 77th match minute, Unisul SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Aílton Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rui de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rude's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Vladimir Palmeira scored to the left of an out of position Almir de Senna, making the score, 3-2. After having played for 90 minutes, Vladimir Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unisul SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimir Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Aílton Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui de Lima was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Rude's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
