With a little luck, Dreher F.C's Osmar Berger got control of the ball when Teodoro das Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Botafogo - RP's Teodoro das Neves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Osmar Berger. That made the score 2-2 after 46 minutes of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

56 minutes into the match, Dreher F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro das Neves came free, but Osmar Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dreher F.C's zone, Arí Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar Berger came out of the goal and Arí Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Teodoro das Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Berger was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. 69 minutes into the match, Benê Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osmar Berger. Dreher F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Pedro Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Botafogo - RP's Falcão Pereira tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Teodoro das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Osmar Berger. Dreher F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Ricardo Rosa's late challenge caught a Botafogo - RP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. Ricardo Rosa hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Rosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conal MacDonald was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, Dreher F.C's Ricardo Rosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conal MacDonald narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Botafogo - RP fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dreher F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
