In the 3rd match minute, Borralho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Moreira to maneuver through the defense. If Fabinho Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Juan da Mata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borralho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Fabinho Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Erik Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan da Mata in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Nóbrega saved Guaratimon from getting behind. Juan da Mata struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Márcio Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borralho. When Jaime Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Borralho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Trancoso couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute of the match Teodoro Moreira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Márcio Nóbrega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Guaratimon's Noel Guedes got a free kick in the 36th minute. Fabinho Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Fabinho Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erik Netto, 1-1. Dráusio Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

Guaratimon were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Borralho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Igor Coronado took the corner. Dráusio Pinheiro tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Erik Netto. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 52nd minute. In the 62nd minute, Artur Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match, Roberto Rodrigues sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Márcio Nóbrega showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Erik Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Pernambucano in the 68th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Borralho got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Moreira. When Gilvan Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaratimon's protests and gave Gilvan Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Borralho getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jaime Trancoso hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Borralho's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Santos came free, but Erik Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Fabinho Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaratimon's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabinho Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Márcio Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
