After some careless play in the Dragões de Tchó Tchó defense, Luís Fernando Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dinei Queiroz. The Dragões de Tchó Tchó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinei Queiroz should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Dragões de Tchó Tchó getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. After 33 played minutes, HELVETIA's Frederico Vale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dinei Queiroz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in HELVETIA reached it. In the 35th minute, HELVETIA's Denílson Cunha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dinei Queiroz. Dinei Queiroz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 38th minute, Luís Fernando Vergílio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dinei Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 47 minutes into the match, Dragões de Tchó Tchó's goalkeeper Dinei Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fernando Vergílio.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caetano Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes in the game, Rômulo Mangueira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mazinho Fernandez having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Luís Fernando Vergílio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HELVETIA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. There was no doubt that HELVETIA were the better team. HELVETIA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
