After a rather tough play, Goat Murders's Cafu Porto got a free kick in the 29th minute. Bruninho Varela made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sidney Mandrak immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 37 minutes, Manfredo Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goat Murders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Manfredo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Tiki Tiki Uberaba's Aníbal Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Goat Murders booed when Tiki Tiki Uberaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Goat Murders players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
