In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind HELVETIA's goalkeeper Mazinho Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michel Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Fernandez having to interfere. After some careless play in the SDR F.C defense, Luís Fernando Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovani Moreno. The SDR F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovani Moreno should have stopped the shot. SDR F.C's Geovani Moreno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save SDR F.C from getting a goal against them. Denílson Cunha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovani Moreno came out and tried to block the shot, but Denílson Cunha slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 42nd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Naldo Pires put in a rough tackle. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SDR F.C! The referee gave HELVETIA a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frederico Vale, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SDR F.C's Geovani Moreno. 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fernando Vergílio made a kick off. Geovani Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Melo in the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute Sílvio Luís Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Moreno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denílson Cunha went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Luís Fernando Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Geovani Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HELVETIA. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio Luís Melo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovani Moreno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, SDR F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Vergílio came free, but Geovani Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovani Moreno came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by HELVETIA's Denílson Cunha. But to his dismay, Denílson Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 84th minute Denílson Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, SDR F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Vergílio came free, but Geovani Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovani Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. SDR F.C's Geovani Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Vergílio in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of SDR F.C booed when HELVETIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. HELVETIA had played much better football throughout.
