HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Paraense in the 12th minute of play. Humberto Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Vergílio in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Luís Fernando Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Fernandez came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube de Regatas Bangs's 温珂桑. But to his dismay, 温珂桑 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 22nd minute, João Paulo Paraense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, HELVETIA's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Barbosa came free, but Mazinho Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. HELVETIA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when João Paulo Paraense scored to the left of an out of position Mazinho Fernandez, making the score, 4-0. João Paulo Paraense was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Clube de Regatas Bangs's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ivo Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube de Regatas Bangs's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazinho Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Vergílio notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Clube de Regatas Bangs's Humberto Schmidt. Humberto Schmidt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 34 minutes into the game, 温珂桑 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube de Regatas Bangs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HELVETIA the free kick. After 34 played minutes Clube de Regatas Bangs got a freekick which was hit by 温珂桑. Luís Fernando Vergílio scored 4-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Humberto Schmidt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas Bangs's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Melo came free, but Humberto Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-2 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Paraense in the 74th minute of play forced HELVETIA's goalkeeper Mazinho Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Clube de Regatas Bangs booed when HELVETIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazinho Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 温珂桑, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 played minutes Clube de Regatas Bangs got a freekick which was hit by Salbatore Sierra. In the 85th minute, João Paulo Paraense made a precise shot to the right of Mazinho Fernandez. HELVETIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-2. The Clube de Regatas Bangs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-2. The supporters of Clube de Regatas Bangs booed when HELVETIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Clube de Regatas Bangs were the better team. Clube de Regatas Bangs's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
