After 8 minutes of play, HELVETIA's Denílson Cunha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred do Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sílvio Luís Melo struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Fred do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HELVETIA. Rodrigo Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luís Fernando Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazinho Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Teles in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Luís Fernando Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Rodrigo Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Fernandez having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

56 minutes into the match, Inema's goalkeeper Fred do Valle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fernando Vergílio. HELVETIA were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Inema's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frederico Vale took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Denílson Cunha managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mazinho Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 played minutes HELVETIA got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Vale. After 64 played minutes Inema got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Marinho. 71 minutes into the game, Anselmo Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inema's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HELVETIA the free kick. Anselmo Vides hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denílson Cunha in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred do Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, Denílson Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Teles scored 1-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mazinho Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Rodrigo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fernando Vergílio got free with Fred do Valle in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Inema's Fred do Valle got control of the ball when Luís Fernando Vergílio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdo Marinho took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho Fernandez. Mazinho Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a little luck, Inema's Fred do Valle got control of the ball when Luís Fernando Vergílio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inema's Fred do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Inema from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Luís Fernando Vergílio put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fred do Valle. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
