Pacencia's players were relieved. José Carlos Medeiros was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 15 minutes into the match. Dedê Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Guilherme Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Guilherme Saldanha notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Corinthians FC's Daniel Poling. Daniel Poling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moreno Cabeleira in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Corinthians FC booed when Pacencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Eliseu Barros hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Moreno Cabeleira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moreno Cabeleira, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ulisses Fernandez hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Osvaldinho Abreu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corinthians FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians FC's zone, Guilherme Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Poling came out of the goal and Guilherme Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedê Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Guilherme Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciro Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moreno Cabeleira in the 81st minute of the match. If Cipriano Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Guilherme Saldanha, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 88 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Daniel Poling was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Corinthians FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Fernandez. 95 minutes into the game, Corinthians FC's Michel Diniz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Pacencia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
