Dênis Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 43rd minute, Sidney Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inácio Neves to make the kick off. With his leg Dênis Teixeira managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when SDR F.C's Manoel Vale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 53 minutes into the match, Goat Murders's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Neves came free, but Dênis Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, SDR F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão de Souza to maneuver through the defense. Sidney Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Moreno having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Sidney Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goat Murders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SDR F.C succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Goat Murders had controlled the match.
