Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justin Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Borges in the 10th minute of play. Júlio Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Justin Thompson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Invernada's Júlio Vides nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Justin Thompson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to ArabLionZ FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Waldir Cunha hit a great ball. Júlio Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Justin Thompson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Invernada's Júlio Vides nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Luiz Gustavo Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Justin Thompson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Wick to strike the kick off in the second half. Júlio Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. A wasted opportunity for Invernada. 71 minutes into the match, ArabLionZ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Tinoco came free, but Justin Thompson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Júlio Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind ArabLionZ FC's goalkeeper Justin Thompson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Justin Thompson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Gustavo Borges in the 90th minute. Júlio Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Thompson having to interfere. Invernada's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
