After 24 played minutes Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Dias. Luís Guilherme Vasconcelos, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Zé Carlos Nunes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Palestra Itália's Arlindo Dias. Arlindo Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arlindo Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Arlindo Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Nunes in the 36th minute of the match. Arlindo Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão de Medeiros in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Palestra Itália's Cléberson Garcia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Cléberson Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Palestra Itália fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 76th minute Betão de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Andrzejewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palestra Itália walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
