Válbson Quirino started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Válbson Quirino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Utopia e Luta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Arlindo Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Válbson Quirino went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 9th minute, Válbson Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arlindo Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Utopia e Luta's Válbson Quirino in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Válbson Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The wind increased when Breno Paes made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Utopia e Luta's Dana Dan got a free kick in the 55th minute. Válbson Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Dias having to interfere. If Gugu Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válbson Quirinos short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Arlindo Dias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Utopia e Luta made a substitution. Ciriaco Aritza replaced Aílton Pinho. When Utopia e Luta's Válbson Quirino in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Utopia e Luta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válbson Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Palestra Itália's Arlindo Dias got control of the ball when Válbson Quirino tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Válbson Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Palestra Itália's Arlindo Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cenk Kani in the 96th minute of play. When Válbson Quirino came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Utopia e Luta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válbson Quirino couldn't finish the play. Utopia e Luta's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
