Jean Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jânio de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Thiago Chaves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdomiro Mendes. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 14th minute, Eliézer Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliézer Esteves had several of the Confusao's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Valdomiro Mendes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Eliézer Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdomiro Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Confusao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Valdomiro Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Botelho's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Oséias de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tales Machado during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Confusao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GAROPABA EC - FSCMZ:s goal. GAROPABA EC - FSCMZs' Valdomiro Mendes made a terrific save as he just managed to stop Zézinho Passoss penalty just before it crossed the line at his left post. The GAROPABA EC - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when GAROPABA EC - FSCMZ's José Pedro Botelho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Valdomiro Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Botelho's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, GAROPABA EC - FSCMZ's Carlos Augusto Medeiros got a free kick in the 38th minute. José Pedro Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Pedro Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdomiro Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jean Neto made the kick off in the second half. GAROPABA EC - FSCMZ's Eliézer Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Oséias de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th match minute, Confusao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Valdomiro Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Esteves in the 68th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Confusao got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Nunes. In the 72nd match minute, Confusao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Eliézer Esteves scored 4-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Eliézer Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, GAROPABA EC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Neto came free, but Jânio de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Thiago Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes Confusao got a freekick which was hit by Tales Machado. In the 89th minute Benedito Abreu suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Oséias de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Confusao's protests and gave Oséias de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. Oséias de Andrade hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Valdomiro Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oséias de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes Confusao got a freekick which was hit by Oséias de Andrade. Thiago Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Valdomiro Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GAROPABA EC - FSCMZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
