Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Breno Paes took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredinho Nunes got free with Arlindo Dias in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Oséias de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Confusao's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséias de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arlindo Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Neto in the 9th minute of play. If Jean Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Percy Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra Itália's supporters rose to their feet, but Percy Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdomiro Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute Jean Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Arlindo Dias made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Alfredinho Nunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arlindo Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Norberto Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jean Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Arlindo Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Confusao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão de Lima to maneuver through the defense. If Breno Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Oséias de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Jean Neto made the kick off in the second half. Arlindo Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Alfredinho Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th minute, Alfredinho Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleiton Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Jean Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Confusao's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Botelho came free, but Valdomiro Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Romero. Jean Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Dias having to interfere. If Alfredinho Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
