Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fernandinho de Barros got the match started through his kick off. Naldo Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco de Amaral in the 3rd minute. After 4 played minutes Rocheira got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Barros. In the 7th minute, Edmílson Borges made a precise shot to the right of Hernani Tasso. Rocheira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Hernani Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Rosa in the 25th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, one of Rocheira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of Grêmio Carvoeiro FC booed when Rocheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Germano Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernani Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Fernandinho de Barros took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Naldo Neiva to make any attempt to save it. If Germano Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco de Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Naldo Neiva made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Germano Rosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Naldo Neiva came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Rocheira's Eliézer Schmidt. But to his dismay, Eliézer Schmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Naldo Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco de Amaral in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Borges in the 60th minute of play forced Rocheira's goalkeeper Hernani Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho de Barros in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Rocheira's goalkeeper Hernani Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Félix. Mazinho Barros's late challenge caught a Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mazinho Barros helped the player get up and apologised. When Rogério Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Grêmio Carvoeiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Nilmar Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naldo Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Marco de Amaral hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Marco de Amaral took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Neiva. Naldo Neiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
