Nilmar Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Maciel made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Edmílson Borges sent off a good shot on target. Naldo Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Paulista in the 22nd minute of play. Nilmar Salles was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 26 played minutes THE STRONGEST ORANGE got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Ortiz. Luiz Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, THE STRONGEST ORANGE's Luiz Lima got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Germano Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, THE STRONGEST ORANGE's Luiz Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Naldo Neiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nilmar Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Arthur Maciel made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, THE STRONGEST ORANGE's goalkeeper Arthur Maciel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Félix. The supporters of THE STRONGEST ORANGE booed when Grêmio Carvoeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Paulista in the 48th minute of play forced Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's goalkeeper Naldo Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 59th minute, Gilvan Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Germano Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arthur Maciel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 67th minute, Rogério Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardinho Meirelles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Naldo Neiva. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Borges in the 70th minute of play forced THE STRONGEST ORANGE's goalkeeper Arthur Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germano Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Arthur Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Nilmar Salles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Arthur Maciel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Naldo Neiva was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Ramiro Paulista capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ramiro Paulista really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Ricardinho Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Luiz Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Naldo Neiva. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Naldo Neiva made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Danilo Araújo sent off a good shot on target. Chants of THE STRONGEST ORANGE echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Grêmio Carvoeiro FC had held the ball for most of the match.
