Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Udad Xavier started the match with the kick off. Mac Karlen came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paulo José Martins could save by the left post. Udad Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Martins having to interfere. Mac Karlen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paulo José Martins firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Esporte Clube Noroeste's Paulo José Martins got control of the ball when Mac Karlen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Udad Xavier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo José Martins. The goal made the score 2-0. After some careless play in the Esporte Clube Noroeste defense, Mac Karlen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo José Martins. The Esporte Clube Noroeste fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo José Martins should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Mac Karlen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mac Karlen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo José Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Grêmio Carvoeiro FC booed when Esporte Clube Noroeste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Mac Karlen notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Esporte Clube Noroeste's Paulo José Martins. Paulo José Martins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mac Karlen charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mac Karlen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Grêmio Carvoeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mac Karlen to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Marques in the 35th minute of the match. After 37 minutes Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Adolfo Meira who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Esporte Clube Noroeste's corner João Adolfo Meira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gabriel Rosa quite easily take care of the ball. José Paulo Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Paulo José Martins made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Udad Xavier sent off a good shot on target. Cássio Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Udad Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Udad Xavier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Mac Karlen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Adolfo Meira to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Esporte Clube Noroeste's zone, Udad Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Martins came out of the goal and Udad Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cássio Pereira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Esporte Clube Noroeste's Denílson Amaral suffered a fractured collar bone after 61 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Mac Karlen kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 67th minute Udad Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo José Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Junior took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo José Martins. Paulo José Martins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After 71 played minutes Esporte Clube Noroeste got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Maciel. 78 minutes into the game, Udad Xavier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esporte Clube Noroeste the free kick. Paulo José Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Isidor went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. When Grêmio Carvoeiro FC's Udad Xavier in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esporte Clube Noroeste's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Esporte Clube Noroeste's zone, Tomás Isidor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Martins came out of the goal and Tomás Isidor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Udad Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Grêmio Carvoeiro FC fully deserved thier win.
