With a little luck, Esporte Clube Noroeste's Paulo José Martins got control of the ball when Raimundo Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jaime Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Paulo José Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torquimetro FC. In the 77th match minute, Torquimetro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Esporte Clube Noroeste's Paulo José Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Esporte Clube Noroeste from getting a goal against them. Paulo José Martins made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Raimundo Luz sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Gustavo Negri in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo José Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th match minute, Esporte Clube Noroeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Reis to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Luís Gustavo Negri from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Paulo José Martins's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the last second Paulo José Martins throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luís Gustavo Negri in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Gustavo Negri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo José Martins. That made the score 3-2 in the 91 minute of play. Luís Gustavo Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Paulo José Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Esporte Clube Noroeste support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
