In the 9th minute Túlio Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Eugênio Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Benjamin Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Hermes in the 22nd minute of play forced Timbuhy's goalkeeper Benjamin Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adhemar Mello during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Caracituba getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Adhemar Mello hit a great ball. If Rafael de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Timbuhy's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Hermes came free, but Benjamin Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Túlio Arruda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Rafael de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Quirino having to interfere. Benjamin Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Hermes in the 41st minute of play. Benjamin Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Baptista in the 48th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romário Hermes to strike the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caracituba's Adhemar Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Sanches in the 60th minute of play forced Timbuhy's goalkeeper Benjamin Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rafael de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Sanches blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Leite having to make a save. Romário Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Benjamin Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adhemar Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adhemar Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Caracituba's goalkeeper Eugênio Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael de Queiroz. The supporters of Timbuhy booed when Caracituba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
