The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Hélder Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but César Soares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 73 minute of play. Hélder Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Donato Freire received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After 82 minutes of play, Itamaraca's Bernardinho Paraense made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alan Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hélder Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Freire's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Itamaraca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Donato Freire scored to the left of an out of position Hélder Amaral, making the score, 2-7. When Donato Freire came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Linhares F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Freire couldn't finish the play. Linhares F.C.'s Mário Quintal was responsible for 2-8 with a brilliant performance in the 92nd minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Hélder Amaral. The Itamaraca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Linhares F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
