In the 9th minute, Adhemar Mello made a precise shot to the right of Mário de Moraes. Seixa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Seixa's Mário de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Arruda in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson Valadares during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Caracituba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Mello to maneuver through the defense. During the 36th minute of the match Adhemar Mello completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adhemar Mello a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Joaquim Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Seixa's zone, Joaquim Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário de Moraes came out of the goal and Joaquim Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldo Recife charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Recife the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Caracituba getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ronaldo Recife hit a great ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Sílvio Luís Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seixa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Faustão Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Eugênio Quirino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Caracituba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Seixa:s goal. Caracituba:s Eugênio Quirino showed great skill when he stopped Sílvio Luís Araújo:s penalty. Caracituba's Eugênio Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Valadares in the 77th minute of play. Eugênio Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Martins in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Martins in the 89th minute of play forced Caracituba's goalkeeper Eugênio Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caracituba's Túlio Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Váldson Valadares struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Eugênio Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seixa. Eugênio Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Eugênio Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Valadares in the 98th minute of the match. Seixa were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Caracituba for a fine match.
